Ice Cube says a “coward” set his crew’s tour bus on fire in Portland while everyone was asleep inside.

Ice Cube says he suspects “a coward” was behind the fire that broke out on a crew bus in Portland during his Truth to Power: Four Decades of Attitude tour.

In a post on X Saturday (Sept. 27), the Man Up rapper addressed reports about the incident, clarifying that while some outlets described the vehicle as his personal bus, it actually belonged to his crew.

“Wasn’t my bus,” Cube wrote on X, as seen below. “It was a crew bus. Parked in front of the hotel. Everybody was upstairs sleeping. Nobody hurt. No equipment damaged. A coward set fire to the bus. My bus was actually in Oakland getting serviced.”

Speaking to Portland’s KGW, Cube echoed the same sentiment.

“I’m not taking this incident as a personal attack,” he said. “A coward like that would burn anybody’s property that was out there at the time.”

Cube’s North American Truth to Power tour is rolling on this week with stops in Glendale, Fort Worth, and Oklahoma City, before wrapping up in October at Houston’s Toyota Center.
