Walton Goggins isn’t worried about potential backlash — after Pete Davidson warned him — saying, “I’m going to enjoy the f**k out of it.”

Pete Davidson thinks Walton Goggins’ skyrocketing fame could come with a downside.

On the Sept. 23 episode of This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von, Davidson said fans are quick to flip on celebrities once they hit peak popularity. Von pointed to Pedro Pascal as an example, praising him as a hardworking actor who went from years of struggle to sudden superstardom.

“He’s worked so hard and has been a struggling actor. Fucking blows up so fucking hard,” Davidson said. “Everyone’s like, ‘Daddy, daddy! Yeah, daddy, daddy.’ Then a year later, he’s in everything now because he’s hot and big and everyone’s like, ‘Go the fuck away, dude.'”

Davidson noted that celebs have to “adjust” to sudden fame, then predicted that Goggins will be the next target of that backlash.

“We agree on one thing…. Pedro Pascal isn’t a good man, He’s a great man. A dear friend of mine,” Goggins continued. “As a 53 yr old I’m acutely aware that every experience has a shelf life. I appreciate so many of you going on this journey with me.”

The actor admitted he figures fans might be “tired” of hearing his “homilies,” just as he’s grown “tired of saying them,” though he acknowledged he’ll have to be back on the promo trail soon for upcoming projects.

Still, Goggins urged fans not to “click on” every headline with his name in it, while making sure to thank them for their support.

“See to me, being included in this headline isn’t a curse it’s a blessing. I’ve had the good fortune of engaging in so many interesting conversations with so many of you…of collaborating with so many top-shelf people across so many disciplines over the last couple of years. Way more than a poor kid from GA would ever have the audacity to imagine,” he wrote.

As for Davidson’s prediction, Goggins brushed it off with confidence: “If this headline is a possibility or an inevitability…if this is my fate…. Well…. Fuck it. I’m going to enjoy the FUCK OUT OF IT.”

Earlier this year, Goggins also found himself in the spotlight when rumors spread about a falling out with his White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood after fans noticed they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Goggins later dismissed the chatter, telling Variety that whether or not they followed each other online was “irrelevant.”
