Taylor Swift has had quite the week. After releasing her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, making late-night appearances, and sparking endless “Wood” theories, the 35-year-old superstar still managed to squeeze in a stylish dinner outing — and, of course, another viral look.
On Tuesday, October 7, Swift was seen arriving at Manhattan’s trendy restaurant The Eighty Six, her first public NYC appearance since the album dropped. As reported by People, she rocked a $2,350 Miu Miu pleated tartan mini skirt paired with a sleek black turtleneck, knee-high tan boots, and a Dior Montaigne Avenue top-handle bag valued at roughly $3,450.
Price tags aside, the most touching part of the story is how the ring came to be. Swift revealed that Kelce, 36, worked directly with Lubeck on the design. “He designed it with this amazing jeweler,” she shared during an interview on the U.K.’s Heart Breakfast. “I had shown him a video — I just thought her stuff was so cool — so I had shown him a video like a year and a half ago and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out.”
Why Swift returned to Manhattan remains unclear, though she did film an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the night before. Either way, she used her downtime well, stepping out at The Eighty Six — the West Village’s buzziest new restaurant, located in the former Chumley’s space. Bloomberg has already dubbed it “New York’s hottest fall restaurant.”
While the “Actually Romantic” singer was making waves there, Kelce was fresh off a Monday-night game in Jacksonville and gearing up for the Chiefs’ next matchup on October 12.
