Camilla Araujo says she won’t earn a single cent from one of her most emotional podcast episodes to date.
In a video shared on her YouTube channel Tuesday, October 8, Araujo introduced her close friend McKinley Richardson and handed her the mic to share her experience from a past relationship with influencer Jack Doherty.
“There will be no monetization off of this podcast,” Araujo said at the start. “There will be no AdSense. I do not want to make a dime off of McKinley’s story. It is not my story to tell.”
Araujo, who boasts over 9.4 million subscribers, explained that she would mostly step back during the episode to give Richardson the space to speak openly.
She also revealed plans to use the episode’s reach to support a charity that assists women in need. “We will be partnering with an organization to be able to help women who don’t have the resources to help themselves,” she shared.
Richardson took the opportunity to open up about the early stages of her relationship with Doherty, speaking candidly while Araujo stayed quiet for much of the conversation, offering gentle support through the heavier moments.
At one point, when Richardson broke down in tears, Araujo reached out and softly told her, “I love you,” staying off camera as her friend continued.
The episode marks a major shift from Araujo’s typical content.
In the video, she emphasized the importance of giving someone a platform without profiting from their pain. “This is not like one of my regular podcasts,” she told viewers. “This is about McKinley’s truth.”
Richardson echoed her friend’s words on camera, expressing gratitude to Araujo for her unwavering support.
“I’m beyond grateful that you’re willing to give me this space,” she said. “I love you so much.”
Araujo’s message to viewers was direct.
“Let this be a reminder,” she said. “Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is just listen.”
