The global hit KPop Demon Hunters has scored yet another milestone — its original soundtrack has officially been certified Platinum.
EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — the powerhouse trio who voice Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in the animated film — were surprised with Platinum plaques during their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week. The singers were visibly stunned and overjoyed as Fallon revealed the news live on air.

That wasn’t the only record-breaking feat for the film’s music. On Wednesday (Oct. 8), not only did the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack achieve Platinum status — signifying over one million units sold in the U.S. — but several standout tracks also earned their own certifications. Among them were Huntr/x’s “How It’s Done” and “What It Sounds Like,” as well as “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol” by the movie’s rival group, the Saja Boys. The film’s breakout anthem, Huntr/x’s “Golden,” soared even higher, earning a double Platinum certification.
The animated blockbuster tells the story of the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, who live dual lives — global pop idols by day and fearless demon hunters by night. Using the power of music to fend off supernatural threats, the group’s adventures have captivated fans worldwide, helping the film rack up awards and smash streaming records.
“Golden” became an unstoppable hit, topping charts in multiple countries. Meanwhile, the Saja Boys’ tracks have also surged in popularity, making them the highest-charting K-pop boy band in U.S. Spotify history — despite being purely fictional.
EJAE, who co-wrote several songs on the soundtrack, shared that the spark for “Golden” struck at the most random time — during a trip to the dentist. She said the song’s “beautiful intro” suddenly came to her, and she quickly recorded a voice memo so she wouldn’t lose the idea.
