Quavo Announces Upcoming Collaborative Album With Pharrell

Quavo has confirmed that he’s teaming up with Pharrell for a brand-new solo album.

While in Paris during the first week of October — likely for his performance at L’Arc Paris during Paris Fashion Week — the former Migos member was surrounded by paparazzi and decided to drop the exciting news himself.

“It’s on the way,” Quavo said as he stepped out of a car in response to a question about a possible new LP. “We dropping it. Me and Pharrell.”

The two last joined forces back in 2018 when Migos collaborated with Pharrell on their hit single “Stir Fry.”

As the cameras flashed, Quavo went on to share that the new project was created at Louis Vuitton’s headquarters in Paris. Pharrell, who serves as Men’s Creative Director for the brand, has a fully equipped studio there — and that’s where the magic happened.

“We recorded the whole album in Paris,” Quavo told the photographers. “We recorded at the Louis V headquarters.”

Quavo’s most recent studio album, Rocket Power, dropped in 2023 and featured appearances from Young Thug, Takeoff, Future, Hunxho, and Baby Drill. Before its release, he revealed on Instagram that the project was deeply personal and dedicated to his late nephew and Migos bandmate, Takeoff.

“This album is for the Rocket, our true fans, and also this is my therapy,” Quavo wrote. “This album is a true reflection of how I feel right now.”

He continued, “Sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m down, sometimes I’m disappointed, sometimes I fall apart, but then I always find my strength again. I know everything might not be alright right now, but the Rocket showed me a way to make it right! Rocket Power keeps me going. Rocket Power gives me fuel. Rocket Power will help us all overcome whatever we’re going through.”

Earlier this year, Quavo also appeared on PlaqueBoyMax’s In The Booth livestream, where he recorded two new tracks titled “Nun” and “Glacier.”

Meanwhile, Offset recently clarified that his fallout with Quavo wasn’t sparked by rumors that he slept with Quavo’s ex, Saweetie.

Speaking on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast, Offset denied the claim and hinted at a deeper reason behind their strained relationship.

“No, man. It was a rumor, man,” Offset said. “And I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split of me and bro. I don’t really want to touch on [it], but it’s something deeper than that.”
