Drake showed some major love to his longtime friend Adin Ross over the weekend, sharing a rare and personal message to celebrate the streamer’s 25th birthday.
On Saturday, the Toronto rap star posted a photo of the two on his Instagram Story, referring to Ross as his “little brother” while applauding his growing success.
“Love you kid,” Drake wrote. “More life and more W’s. Congrats on all the new moves and you’re only getting started @adinross. My little brother — have fun and enjoy your weekend to the MAX.”
Drake and Adin Ross have developed a tight friendship over the past few years, often joining each other’s livestreams, making viral gambling appearances, and previewing unreleased music during late-night sessions.
Aside from celebrating Ross’s birthday, the streamer has also become somewhat of an insider for Drake’s fans, frequently sharing tidbits about the rapper’s highly anticipated album ICEMAN. The project has been teased through surprise releases and livestream snippets, and Ross recently claimed that only a few of those tracks will actually appear on the final version.
“Drake has a ton of surprises for everybody,” Ross said. “You guys just got to be patient. He’s on some crazy shit.”
Earlier this month, a few streamers tried to leak what they claimed were ICEMAN songs — including one rumored to contain a DeMar DeRozan diss — but according to Ross, Drake said he has “no idea” who the alleged leakers are.
