Jessica Jones Set to Make Her Comeback in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Jessica Jones is officially making her return — the beloved character will appear in the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again.

During New York Comic Con, fans got their first look at the show’s second season through a newly released trailer, which confirmed that Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones will reunite with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.

Ritter then surprised the audience by walking out on stage alongside Cox, drawing huge cheers from the crowd.

“We are so back,” she said with a big smile, sending fans into a frenzy.

“It’s so exciting to have Krysten back and JJ on the show,” Charlie Cox said of Ritter’s return.

Ritter originally headlined Netflix’s Jessica Jones and later teamed up with Cox’s Daredevil in The Defenders.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ next March.

The new trailer also dropped another bombshell — Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson appears to be alive, despite his shocking death in the premiere of the show’s first season.

Speaking to Complex earlier this year, Cox reflected on that major plot twist.

“It’s hard. It’s really sad and robs us of a lot of stuff. There’s no denying it,” he said. “But from a story point of view, we needed something. We needed to come in hot, we needed to make a big bang. We’re coming back after six years and we need to shake things up a little bit.”

Cox explained that the storyline was meant to push Matt Murdock into a darker chapter of his life. “There was this great idea to have Matt put down the suit and completely distance himself from his former life,” he continued. “And in order to do that, there needed to be a massive consequence that took him to that place. And that’s the collateral damage, sadly.”

In the same interview, Cox confirmed he was involved in discussions about bringing back Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page and Henson’s Nelson from Netflix’s Daredevil series to the Disney+ revival.

“They are the heartbeat of this show, and without them, a lot of the stuff that we do, it doesn’t really have any gravitas,” he said. “It doesn’t have the same emotional impact. I really think that you need those two. They’re great friends of mine, so it was lovely just to be on set with ’em again and reminisce and share in the joy of it all.”
