Cardi B Rings In Her Birthday: “33 Is the Jesus Year”

Cardi B marked her 33rd birthday over the weekend, sharing that she feels “lucky” and “blessed” as she kicks off a new chapter.

The Am I the Drama? rapper — fresh off her public feud with Nicki Minaj — took to Instagram on Sunday (Oct. 12) to thank fans for their love and reveal that she’s already set her goals for the year ahead.

“Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes! Everyone normally makes their new year resolution on Jan 1st but I made mine last night! I’m feeling lucky but most of all blessed! Year 32 was a year I’ll never forget!” Cardi wrote.

In the photos shared on Instagram, Cardi B stunned in a form-fitting burgundy dress that proudly showed off her baby bump. The carousel also featured shots of the rapper surrounded by flowers and pink balloons.

“But 33 is the Jesus year,” she wrote, “and I must say I never felt so covered and so protected by the man above himself. He never fails to remind me that I’m chosen and that I’m anointed, and that’s the best gift I could ever ask for. Thank you all for supporting me and loving me! I love y’all back!”

It’s been a standout year for the Pretty & Petty rapper, both personally and professionally. Her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, racking up over 146 million streams in its first week.

True to its title, the project stirred up plenty of drama — reigniting her ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj after the “Pink Friday” star mocked lyrics from “Magnet.” What followed was a fiery week-long exchange filled with personal jabs, including shots about family and accusations of drug use and mental health struggles. At one point, Cardi even declared she was “ready to go to jail” to settle things with Nicki.

On the personal side, Cardi made her relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs official this year and revealed she’s expecting his child — who will join her three kids from her previous marriage to Offset.

And she’s showing no signs of slowing down. Her Little Miss Drama arena tour kicks off in February in Palm Desert, California, with stops scheduled in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Austin, Texas.
