Drake and Sophie Brussaux, his son’s mother, celebrated Adonis’ eighth birthday with a fun, cowboy-themed party.
On Saturday (Oct. 11), Adonis turned eight, and his parents went all out with a western-inspired bash featuring a spotted cow cake and “wanted” posters with his face on them.
In a clip making the rounds online, Drake and Sophie can be seen standing beside Adonis as they help him cut his birthday cake in front of a cheering crowd.
Drake also took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of Adonis striking a pose that looked strikingly similar to one his dad is known for.

Drake marked his son’s birthday last year by sharing a sweet video of the two playing basketball together.
“Big Adi day happy birthday kid 7 years old,” he captioned the clip. The rapper also posted a heartfelt letter from Adonis, who thanked his dad for giving him “such a good life” and “a good family.” A year earlier, Adonis made his own musical debut with “My Man Freestyle,” an extended version of his verse from Drake’s track “Daylight.”
This year’s celebration coincides with Drake’s touching birthday shoutout to streamer Adin Ross, with whom he’s collaborated several times. “Love you kid,” Drake wrote on Instagram Stories. “More life and more W’s. Congrats on all the new moves and you’re only getting started @adinross. My little brother—have fun and enjoy your weekend to the MAX.”
The festivities also follow news that Drake’s defamation lawsuit over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was dismissed by a judge—though his legal team reportedly plans to appeal the ruling.
