Nicki Minaj’s Legal Rival Pushes Court to Sell Her Home to Cover $500K Judgment

A security guard is asking a judge for permission to seize and sell Nicki Minaj’s $20 million mansion to recover an unpaid $500,000 judgment.

According to court documents, Thomas Weidenmüller—who previously won a default judgment against Minaj—filed a motion in Los Angeles on Oct. 6. The case stems from a 2019 incident in Frankfurt, Germany, where Weidenmüller claims Minaj’s husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, assaulted him while Minaj allegedly encouraged and took part in the altercation. After the couple failed to respond to the lawsuit, Weidenmüller was awarded just over $500,000.

Since April 2024, Weidenmüller says he’s made several unsuccessful attempts to collect the payment, including trying to serve the couple at their gated home and sending levy notices to companies like Apple, UMG, Capitol Records, and Live Nation.

Now, his lawyers want the court to enforce the judgment by selling Minaj’s Hidden Hills property, which she reportedly bought in 2022 for $19.5 million and is currently valued at around $20 million.

After factoring in a $13.26 million mortgage and a $722,151 homestead exemption, Weidenmüller’s team claims there’s still roughly $6 million in available equity—enough to cover the judgment multiple times over.

“Minaj is a global music superstar, estimated to have a net worth of anywhere between $150-190 million, and is reportedly the highest paid female rap star in the world,” the filing states. “There is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full and, yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment and levies served upon several of her suspected creditors.”

The court has not yet ruled on the motion.

This filing comes shortly after Minaj shared on Instagram Stories that her American Express card had been used without permission by multiple people, posting screenshots of unauthorized transactions reaching up to $8,000. She claimed some of the culprits had been stealing from her “for years” and even tracking her movements using a linked device.

Around the same time, Cardi B made her own accusation, suggesting Kenneth Petty had access to his wife’s card, writing, “The only person that have the power is Kenneth Petty … but you know what happens wit that Amex when you sedated.”

It’s unclear whether Cardi’s post was related to Minaj’s recent claims.

“Let’s see if they’ll go to jail for their ring leaders,” Minaj wrote. “Caught RED handed being thieves & worse.”
