The lemon bars were just the beginning.
Nicolle Briscoe has quickly earned the title of villain on The Golden Bachelor season two — and it’s not just because of dessert.
It all started with the lemon bars. While the other women were hard at work in the kitchen whipping up a surprise treat for lead Mel Owens, cameras caught Nicolle lounging instead. But when it was time to present the dessert to the former NFL player, she boldly took the credit.
In another moment that rubbed viewers the wrong way, Briscoe took aim at the women from the previous season, making a harsh comment about their looks.
“I’m sorry, but the last cast? They weren’t so great-looking,” she said.
Nicolle hasn’t been shy about her intentions either. She’s openly admitted on camera that she hopes to use The Golden Bachelor as a springboard to influencer status and possibly even Real Housewives-level fame.
Her ambition didn’t sit well with everyone. Fellow contestant Peg expressed her frustration, saying she simply wants to meet a “nice guy.”
Meanwhile, all of this drama is unfolding right under Mel Owens’ nose — but he remains completely unaware, continuing to eliminate other women while keeping Nicolle in the mix.
Cosmopolitan called out Nicolle’s “brazen ulterior motives” on a show where “being there for the wrong reasons” has practically become a running joke.
“I’ve told myself from the beginning, I’m not dating Mel—I’m dating America. I’m dating everybody watching, and not watching. That gives you exposure like you’ve never had,” Nicolle boldly said on the show.
The catch? Mel Owens clearly shares strong chemistry with her. Nicolle isn’t shy about showing affection either, often wrapping her arms around him right in front of the other women. Still, every great reality show needs a villain—and with the power of editing, who’s to say how much of it is the real story?
So, who exactly is Nicolle Briscoe?
According to Us Weekly, her full name is Nicolle Kate Briscoe. She’s a 64-year-old yoga instructor from Miami Beach who instantly rubbed fans the wrong way by “making out” with Owens in front of the others and interrupting their private time with him.
Fans have been voicing their opinions on X.
“I’m sorry but Nicolle has to go I cannot stand her #GoldenBachelor,” one viewer wrote.
Another added, “I already knew what game Nicolle was playing, but for her to bluntly announce her intentions for being on the show… You do know you’re being recorded, right? You do know the other women can use this against you, right?”
