Ty Dolla Sign made it clear he’s not interested in discussing his relationship with Kanye West.
interviewer Jordan Rose asked the singer where things currently stand between them. “6 7,” Ty replied before quickly adding, “I don’t really wanna talk about it. Next one.”
When Rose tried to dig deeper, asking what he meant by “6 7,” Ty simply responded, “Let’s go,” signaling he was ready to move on to the next topic.
Ty’s response was a nod to the viral “6 7” meme that’s been making waves among Gen Z and Gen Alpha. The phrase doesn’t actually mean anything specific — it’s just something people say randomly, originating from Skrilla’s 2024 track “Doot Doot (6 7).”
While Kanye West’s relationships with Pusha T and Kid Cudi have publicly soured, it’s unclear where things currently stand between him and Ty. The pair, known as ¥$, dropped the first two installments of their Vultures series last year. Then, in February — not long after Vultures 2 was released — Ty took to his Instagram Story to speak out against hate speech.
“I do not condone ANY form of hate speech toward ANYBODY,” he wrote, without naming anyone directly. His post came shortly after Ye made headlines for an antisemitic rant on X, where he declared himself a Nazi and professed “love” for Hitler.
Before that controversy, in January, Ty had announced that Vultures 3 was “on the way,” along with his own solo project, Tycoon.
