Bronx drill rapper Suave Drilly has been fatally shot shortly after leaving his parole office.

The NYPD is searching for three suspects connected to the fatal shooting of Bronx drill rapper John Martinez, better known as Suave Drilly, who was gunned down shortly after leaving a parole office.

According to amNewYork, three masked men approached the 27-year-old as he exited the Division of Parole near Alexander Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard in Mott Haven around 6 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 15). Martinez was shot multiple times in the chest. Parole officers quickly tried to assist him while bystanders gathered at the scene. Emergency responders attempted to revive him before rushing him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Martinez had been on parole following his conviction for first-degree attempted gang assault. In 2022, he was indicted along with 19 others by the Bronx District Attorney’s Office for alleged ties to a series of shootings linked to the G-Side/Drilly gang — a subset of the Bloods Sex Money Murder crew. The 82-count indictment included charges such as conspiracy, murder, manslaughter, attempted murder, grand larceny, and weapons possession. He was released on parole in January 2024.

Authorities confirmed that the investigation into Martinez’s killing remains ongoing.
