As promised, Cardi B has finally dropped the Instagram video for her BIA-directed diss track “Pretty & Petty” from Am I the Drama?
The rapper had previously told fans she was holding off on releasing the clip out of respect for BIA’s Bianca album rollout earlier this month.
“I know how stressful it is to put an album out and I know how fucked up you be in the mind when you put an album out and shit,” Cardi said during a recent livestream. “So I feel like if I do a video to ‘Pretty & Petty as Fuck’ this week or today, I feel like I would be bullying. I don’t wanna feel like a bully. Because when I bully, then God takes from me.”
The track has fueled ongoing speculation about Cardi’s feud with BIA, especially given its timing around the Bianca album’s October 10 release.
The Instagram video, posted on Oct. 19 and available in full below, shows Cardi B rapping along to standout lines from her buzzed-about track — including the viral lyric, “Name five BIA songs, gun pointin’ to your head / Bow, I’m dead.”
Cardi captioned the post, “Pretty & Petty… and pregnant.”
While promoting her new album on The Breakfast Club last week, BIA was asked if she plans to respond to Cardi B’s “Pretty & Petty” diss. The rapper downplayed the tension, insisting the song isn’t really about her.
“This isn’t even about her,” BIA said. “It’s about real artists — like the artists that get up and go to the studio and care about the creative and do their work and have limited resources.” She added that centering her Bianca rollout around Cardi would be “a disservice” to her own message.
“There’s so much more importance to my message and what I’m here for than to rap beef,” BIA continued. “I’ve been out for over 10 years and I’ve never gotten into a rap beef. That says a lot about me. I have great relationships in this business because I carry myself a certain way. Why would I ruin that? I can address it any time, but I’m just here for a bigger mission right now.”
