Streamer Nina Lin Issues Apology After 2024 Incident Footage Resurfaces

Popular streamer Nina Lin has issued an apology after footage from a May 2024 stream resurfaced and sparked backlash online.

In the clip, Nina and fellow streamer Zoe Spencer were seen restraining and twerking on Said, FaZe Silky’s assistant, who appeared visibly uncomfortable.

Background voices in the stream could be heard expressing disapproval, with some suggesting that Said hadn’t consented to the interaction. Additional footage later seemed to show attempts to guide Said onto a bed.

Viewers pointed out that Said repeatedly tried to get away during the stream, even hiding upstairs before being brought back to continue. After the broadcast, he took to social media claiming he felt assaulted, though those posts were later deleted. The resurfaced footage has reignited widespread outrage online.

Following the renewed attention, Said shared a now-deleted post on X, writing, “I’ve been vocal about the situation originally and nobody cared,” adding, “I’ve been invalidated by the other parties, which don’t realize what it did.”

A few days later, Nina Lin addressed the controversy with a public apology. In her video statement, she said that during the stream, she “genuinely, 100 percent thought it was a joke” and believed Said was laughing.

Looking back, she admitted, “it is wrong.”

“What we did was wrong,” Lin said. “He clearly was uncomfortable with it. He was very hurt by it.”

As of now, both Nina Lin’s and Zoe Spencer’s Twitch channels are “temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”
