NBA YoungBoy’s 2018 Bucket List Resurfaces — Featuring Dreams of a Grammy Win, an Adele Collab, and Skydiving

Long before embarking on his record-breaking tour, NBA YoungBoy had already mapped out his ambitions in a handwritten bucket list.

Dated April 24, 2018, the list from the “What You Is” rapper included both predictable and unexpected dreams — from “Release my debut album” to “Collab with Adele on a song.” Other goals featured winning a Grammy, earning his GED, and having a daughter — something he’s accomplished multiple times since. The rapper is now a father of ten and expecting his eleventh child with his wife, Jazlyn Mychelle.

YoungBoy also noted plans to give back to schools in his community, permanently move away from Louisiana, and — perhaps most surprisingly — go skydiving.

As YoungBoy continues checking off goals from his bucket list, Complex’s Jordan Rose caught up with him during his Brooklyn show in September to talk about what’s next. Toward the end of their brief chat, the rapper revealed that he’s planning to drop one more album before the year wraps up — following his 2025 releases Leaks, Masa, and Deshawn.

When it comes to getting off probation, the Baton Rouge native still has a journey ahead. After receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump in May, the rapper — whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden — was serving a 23-month sentence tied to a gun charge and had also pleaded guilty to involvement in a prescription fraud scheme.
