Jen Affleck, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and current Dancing With the Stars contestant, is standing up for her pro dance partner, Jan Ravnik — a choreographer and former backup dancer for Taylor Swift.
Ravnik recently faced some harsh words from DWTS alum Maks Chmerkovskiy, who spent 17 seasons on the show and won the Mirrorball trophy in season 18. During a podcast with his wife, Peta Murgatroyd, Chmerkovskiy criticized Ravnik’s casting, questioning his technique and teaching ability, and claiming Affleck was at a disadvantage for being paired with him.
Affleck, however, isn’t having it. She took to TikTok to defend her partner, posting a clip captioned, “Me when anyone trash talks Jan.” The video shows her sitting beside Ravnik, furiously typing on her phone — a playful but pointed response to Chmerkovskiy’s comments.
In the TikTok clip, an audio plays in the background saying, “Take it down, take it down, take it down, we need it gone. That doesn’t represent me or what we need to be doing.”
While the sound hints that Ravnik may prefer to stay out of the drama, Affleck made it clear she has no problem stepping up to defend him if needed.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of support for the duo.
“Maks was literally giving jealous ex-pro vibes. Jan is a king,” one fan wrote.
“I’ll ride at dawn for this man,” added DWTS pro dancer Ezra Sosa, who’s currently competing this season with Jordan Chiles.
