D4vd Case: Private Investigator Claims He Discovered “Heavy-Duty Tools” Inside Singer’s Rental Home

A private investigator probing the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas says he uncovered suspicious equipment inside D4vd’s former rental home in the Hollywood Hills.

In a recent interview, Los Angeles-based investigator Steve Fischer — hired by the property’s owner — told the Daily Mail: “There were multiple of these items that could all be used together — heavy-duty tools and machinery you’d never need in a Hollywood Hills home. You’d be more likely to find them on a farm.”

“I don’t know what impact these items could have on the overall narrative, if any,” he added, noting that one of the objects was still in its shipping packaging and that the LAPD had been informed.

Earlier this month, Fischer told Court TV he “found some things that have been delivered to the house that just don’t belong there.”

“They are things that you could use to get rid of a person if you wanted to,” he claimed. “People say, ‘Oh, it’s got to be tools and stuff.’ It’s beyond that — it’s really sadistic stuff.”

Fischer didn’t clarify what specific tools he found.

Last month, D4vd’s Tesla was discovered parked a block away from the property and later towed to an impound lot, where staff reported a foul odor — leading police to find Rivas’ decomposing body in the trunk.

According to Fischer, the Tesla had been spotted in several different locations around the neighborhood starting in May 2025 and was last left on Bluebird Avenue on July 29 — the same day D4vd left for tour. Authorities later stated that Rivas had “very likely” been dead for “several weeks” when she was found.

Rivas had been reported missing by her family in early 2024 from their home in Lake Elsinore, California.

After reviewing neighborhood surveillance and digital evidence, Fischer told Eyewitness News that the last confirmed sighting of Rivas alive was on January 2, 2025.

The 20-year-old “Romantic Homicide” singer has since canceled the rest of his tour, postponed the release of his Withered (Deluxe) album indefinitely, and moved out of the Hollywood Hills property.

It was also revealed that D4vd transferred ownership of his two Texas homes to his mother on September 18 — the same day Houston police responded to a false report claiming there was a deceased woman inside the residence following a shooting.

The LAPD said D4vd is not currently considered a suspect. The cause of Rivas Hernandez’s death has not yet been determined.

“The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of Ms. Rivas Hernandez’s death,” the statement read. “As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”

“They are probably relying on toxicology to better understand what happened,” Fischer told Eyewitness News. “Which means it could be an accidental overdose with a really bad decision made afterwards.”
