Big U’s 34-Year-Old Son Fatally Shot in Los Angeles

Big U’s 34-year-old son, Jabari “Baby Uiie” Henley, has been shot and killed in Los Angeles.

According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, the tragic incident occurred on Halloween night. Witnesses say Henley approached a vehicle when someone inside opened fire, fatally striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.

TMZ reports that music executive Luce Cannon, who is currently incarcerated alongside Big U at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, said the rap executive is “heartbroken” over his son’s death. Cannon also suggested that Henley may have known the person responsible for the shooting.

Big U, a well-known rap executive and alleged Rolling 60s Crip leader, is most recognized for managing the late Nipsey Hussle. Earlier this year, he turned himself in after being indicted in a sweeping RICO case.

“So, this is probably going to be my last video. I’m going to turn myself in and see what’s going on,” Big U said in a clip before surrendering. “They’re calling me a fugitive. They just raided all my houses. 600 was actually with the police when they raided my house. He even has video footage of it. So y’all know what you’re dealing with.”

The indictment accuses Big U of heading a criminal organization tied to murder, kidnapping, extortion, fraud, and robbery. Prosecutors also claim he required athletes and celebrities to “check in” — paying for permission to move freely within Los Angeles — and defrauded figures such as Shaquille O’Neal and Draymond Green.

Big U’s trial is set to begin on May 4, 2026. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
