A Playboi Carti fan’s emotional moment has gone viral after being featured on the rapper’s Opium Finsta page.
In the short clip, the shirtless fan can be seen standing in the middle of a wild mosh pit, overcome with emotion and moved to tears as he soaks in the energy of the performance.
In the background of the clip, fans can hear a snippet of an unreleased Playboi Carti song known among listeners as either “24 Songs” or “Made It This Far.” Though it’s never been officially released, the Vory-assisted track has become a cult favorite within the Carti community.
Of course, there’s always a chance the fan’s tears had just as much to do with the excitement around Carti’s newly launched Mitchell & Ness NBA League Collection. The limited-edition drop, revealed on Monday, includes Opium-inspired spins on jerseys from teams like the Atlanta Hawks and more.
Carti and his crew are keeping the Antagonist 2.0 tour rolling this week, with upcoming stops in Boston, Brooklyn, and Newark. The tour will officially wrap up in just under a month with a hometown finale at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
At a recent sold-out Los Angeles show, Carti shocked fans by bringing out Kendrick Lamar to perform “GOOD CREDIT,” one of several collaborations between the two on his Whole Lotta Red follow-up, MUSIC. Released in March.
