Ryan Murphy’s latest legal drama All’s Fair, featuring Kim Kardashian in a leading role, has premiered to a shocking 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series, which debuted on Hulu and Disney+ on Nov. 4, centers on a group of female lawyers who break away from a male-dominated firm to start their own legal practice. Alongside Kardashian, the star-studded cast includes Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor, and Glenn Close.
Despite its powerhouse lineup and Murphy’s acclaimed reputation from hits like Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, and Glee, All’s Fair has been panned by critics.
Lucy Mangan of The Guardian didn’t hold back, writing, “I did not know it was still possible to make television this bad,” while The Times critic Ben Dowell simply called it “the worst television drama ever made.”
Critics have mixed opinions on what exactly went wrong, but most agree that Kardashian’s performance felt “stiff,” a point echoed widely across social media.
The first three episodes are currently streaming, with the next episode set to drop on Nov. 11.
Ahead of the show’s release, Sarah Paulson revealed a behind-the-scenes mishap during filming — she accidentally spit a potato chip into Kardashian’s eye while shooting an intense scene.
“I had to say some really scandalous things in Kim’s face. I did at one time spit a potato chip on her,” Paulson told People. “I was in her face screaming, and it was like, ‘Bing!’ I saw it go in her eye.”
Despite the on-set chaos, Paulson said she loved playing a villain in the series. “I had the best time, I really did. I love working in a high-stakes environment — not the set, but the scene itself.”
Co-stars Glenn Close and Niecy Nash-Betts also shared that Paulson and Kardashian struggled to keep straight faces during filming.
“Sarah and Kim sometimes could not look at each other without laughing,” Close said.
“Once the laughter started, we all knew it was going to be at least 30 minutes before we could even start,” added Nash-Betts.
