Akademiks couldn’t hide his shock after Adin Ross revealed that Drake gifted him a $330,000 fully-loaded Maybach.
During Adin’s Kick stream on Wednesday, Akademiks asked viewers if they wanted to see the luxury car Ross had received from Drake. “He paid in full,” Ross said, prompting Ak to react with a stunned, “Word?!”
Akademiks then cracked a joke about Ross and Drake’s connection to the gambling site Stake—though the comment didn’t land well. Once they checked out the Maybach, Ak found the vehicle’s paperwork in the backseat and pointed out the $220,000 price before taxes and extra fees.
“He did full packages on the car, too,” Ross shared. “I always say this, Ak—people ask, ‘Why did he get it for you?’ I fuck with him, bro. There’s no loyalty left in this industry for people like him, and I love him. I’m loyal to him.”
After hearing the story and all the car’s details, Akademiks joked, “You and Drake must have Illuminati secrets, like goddamn.” He ended with another laugh, saying, “On his birthday, Drake called me his right hand, and shit, I guess the right hand don’t get the right key.”
