Michael Jackson fans have plenty to be excited about as Lionsgate just unveiled the most in-depth look yet at Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming biopic Michael, which will chronicle defining moments from the late King of Pop’s legendary life.
Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s real-life nephew, takes on the iconic role, leading a star-studded cast that includes Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo. Domingo, known for his standout performances in Euphoria and Sing Sing, portrays Michael’s father, Joe Jackson.

The Vampire Diaries and Insecure star Kendrick Sampson also joins the impressive cast, portraying legendary producer Quincy Jones — the man behind three of Michael Jackson’s classic albums, including Thriller. The iconic musician passed away last year at the age of 91.
“I know you’ve been waiting a long time for this,” Sampson’s Jones says at the start of the minute-long teaser released Thursday. “The tracks are made, the songs are ready. Let’s take it from the top. This is your story. Honor your past and embrace the future. That’s what people want.”

You can watch the newly released teaser trailer above. Michael hits theaters on April 24.
