During her Studio Sessions concert in Las Vegas, Kelly Clarkson opened up about a shocking comment from her former manager, who once told her to get breast implants.
“I had some dick manager one time tell me to get a boob job,” she told the crowd on Nov. 8, according to TMZ. “I was like, ‘Why don’t you get a dick job? I’m fine with my itty-bitty titties! Get out of here. … Who says that shit?’”
Clarkson went on to slam how normalized such comments are in the entertainment industry. “People say that shit all the time to people in the industry. They say the craziest shit. I’m like, ‘This is not normal, you’ve normalized crazy.’”
She even compared the industry’s obsession with looks to the flashy villains from The Hunger Games. “Everybody out here looking like they’re in the Capitol in Hunger Games,” she quipped. “Calm down, just get old. Be glad, not everybody gets to get old, you know what I’m saying? Do you, but don’t make me do you. And I like my itty-bitty titties—they’ve served me well.”
The 43-year-old singer and talk show host is nearing the end of her second Las Vegas residency, which began in July.
Just before the residency kicked off, Kelly Clarkson postponed several shows to focus on her family as her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, faced serious health challenges. Blackstock passed away in August at age 48 after a three-year battle with cancer.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” his family’s statement read. “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
