50 Cent couldn’t resist responding after Vivica A. Fox advised women to steer clear of dating him.
On Monday night, the rapper took to Instagram with a playful post, seemingly referencing The Matrix. He shared what appeared to be an AI-generated image of himself dressed in a futuristic outfit, holding out a red pill in one hand and a blue pill in the other.
“Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl,” 50 captioned the post. “But damn it’s been 22 years, Vivica.”

50 Cent’s post came shortly after Vivica A. Fox warned women against dating rappers—especially him—while speaking at the Ultimate Women’s Expo over the weekend.
When asked by an audience member about pursuing their dreams, Fox quipped, “Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers.” She added, “Facts! … Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh not to cry no more, but I did it.”
The two have had a long, headline-making history since their brief romance in 2003, which lasted only three months after they met at the BET Awards. Over the years, they’ve occasionally exchanged playful jabs—and moments of affection—in interviews and online.
In 2018, Fox admitted she wasn’t entirely against rekindling things with the Queens rapper, and by 2021, 50 responded after she called him the love of her life. “I’m never bothered by when she says that,” he told radio host Kris Kaylin. “At the time that we actually interacted with each other, we weren’t conscious of everything else that was going on.”
Then in 2023, Fox joked about the possibility of a reunion, saying on Sherri, “Well, [Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez] did it again. Why not?”
The former couple also made a joint red carpet appearance at the 2003 MTV VMAs, and despite their ups and downs, Fox even appeared in 50’s 2009 music video for “Do You Think About Me.”
