Rory Farrell Says Sorry After Old Racist Tweets Targeting Black Women Resurface

Rory Farrell is under fire after a collection of racist and misogynistic tweets from over a decade ago resurfaced.

As reported by HotNewHipHop, many of the revived posts from the New Rory & Mal co-host were aimed at Black women.

What did Rory’s old tweets say?
In one resurfaced tweet, Rory retweeted, “I’ve never saw a good looking black woman,” while another allegedly stated, “Every black woman has either, wanted to, thought about, or actually fucked a white guy #whitepeoplefacts.” He also reportedly called Beyoncé’s name “hoodrat” in another post.

On Wednesday, Rory joined an X Spaces discussion to address the situation. The conversation—which TMZ says included Black journalists and hip-hop fans—quickly grew heated as Rory seemed to respond with sarcasm.

In a clip shared by No Jumper, Mal asked Rory if he was being canceled, and Rory jokingly shot back, “Yeah, I hate Black women. I think all Black women are ugly.”

“I been trying to tell them that you felt that way,” Mal joked in return.

Rory kept up the sarcasm, saying, “I only think white is the only pure beauty, as you know, as I tell you guys all the time, how much I love white women.” Around the same time, another X user shared screenshots of Rory deleting old tweets, which many took as a sign of guilt.

Though Rory did issue an apology, several people in the X Space accused him of being “condescending,” “sarcastic,” and “deflecting”—claims he pushed back against. One participant responded to his tone by telling him, “I don’t know if you can really troll your way out of this one.”

As the discussion went on, others grew more frustrated with Farrell. When a woman described Rory’s attitude toward the situation as “violence,” he replied, “I couldn’t agree more with everything that you said. My point the entire time has been saying I’m not apologizing for anyone that has said that I’ve called Black women ugly or roaches. That’s all I’ve said—I apologize for everything else. Don’t ever say I have called Black women ugly or roaches or anything that y’all have been trying to put on me because I never said that.”

However, more clips posted by X user @itstime4u2b seem to show that back in 2014, Rory retweeted someone saying, “Black girls look like roaches.”

Aside from joining X Spaces to defend himself, Rory Farrell has not released any direct statement.
