Real Housewives of Potomac staple Karen Huger stepped out for her first big public appearance since getting out of jail — and the BravoCon 2025 crowd showered her with nothing but love.
Per Us Weekly, the 62-year-old reality star hit the stage in Las Vegas on Friday, November 14, to present the opening award at The Bravos, officially kicking off the network’s three-day fan festival.
When Huger stepped onto the stage, the entire audience immediately rose, giving her a long, emotional standing ovation that clearly moved her.
Earlier in the day, the RHOP panel included Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and Wendy Osefo. Huger didn’t join the panel, but her castmates confirmed she was in Vegas and set to take part in other weekend events.
Her return to the spotlight comes two months after completing her sentence at Maryland’s Montgomery County Detention Center. She was released in September after serving six months of a one-year term tied to her 2024 drunk-driving conviction.
According to police, the RHOP star was driving her 2017 Maserati when she hit multiple signs and a divider in Potomac, Maryland. In December 2024, a jury found her guilty of DUI, DWI, negligent driving, and failing to control her speed. She was sentenced in February 2025 to two years in jail, with one year suspended.
Following the crash, Huger released a statement calling the ordeal a terrifying wake-up call. “I am still in shock from last night’s experience but grateful to be alive today,” she said, thanking fans for their support and crediting her seatbelt — and her late mother, her “guardian angel” — for keeping her safe.
Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Potomac captures that chapter as it unfolded. A preview shown at BravoCon featured Huger’s emotional release, where she asked her driver, “Do we have tissues in here?” before breaking down.
The midseason trailer also teased a heartfelt sit-down with Andy Cohen. “I heard things from her that I’ve never heard before,” Cohen said in a backstage interview, praising Huger for her openness and vulnerability.
