6ix9ine’s Florida home was hit by a group of armed intruders over the weekend, and newly released surveillance footage captures the terrifying moment.
As first reported on Monday (Nov. 17), a spokesperson for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to the residence for “a home invasion robbery/burglary in progress.” By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already escaped, possibly in an unknown vehicle.
“Upon arrival, deputies made contact with several individuals inside the residence who reported that four armed, masked men entered the home with handguns,” the spokesperson said. “They stated that the homeowner’s mother was held physically outside while the remaining suspects ran inside and ransacked the property. The suspects asked for cash and car keys. A K-9 track and search of the residence was conducted with negative results. Suspects possibly left in a vehicle prior to deputies’ arrival.”
Just hours after news of the invasion broke, TMZ released surveillance clips from the scene. In one video, a woman identified as 6ix9ine’s mother can be seen and heard pleading emotionally with an armed suspect, whose face is hidden behind a mask or some kind of covering.
Another clip shows the same woman—again believed to be his mother—being escorted by one of the intruders, who is holding a gun in one hand. A dog can also be seen pacing in both videos. TMZ also shared footage of law enforcement arriving at the home.
6ix9ine was not present during the incident, and the TattleTales rapper has not publicly commented as of now.
Meanwhile, in recent weeks, the rapper’s attorney and federal prosecutors have been locked in a dispute over whether he should face several months behind bars for violating the terms of his supervised release.
