Kim Kardashian opened up about the emotional rollercoaster of studying for the California bar exam — a test she later didn’t pass.
In a video posted to Instagram on Sunday (Nov. 10), the 45-year-old revealed that she spent the entire summer documenting “the ups, the downs, and everything in between” as she prepared for the exam.
The video opened with Kardashian crying on her bed before jumping back to her final two weeks of prep, where she was reviewing cases with professors, powering through courses, and even dreaming about losing points on the test.
The SKIMS founder also shared that the pressure became so intense that a back injury and some “disc issues” piled physical pain onto the mental load.
“It’s like every time I feel like I’m a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this … A part of me just wants to stop,” she said through tears around the 2:38 mark of the clip. “I just feel like my brain’s gonna explode and I still have so much more to go.”
Despite the frustration, Kim kept pushing, and on the night before the exam she said, “I feel really good about everything… I feel prepared.”
Kim got her results on November 7 — the very same day her Hulu show All’s Fair premiered — and found out she didn’t pass.
She addressed the disappointment on her Instagram Story, writing, “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.” Still, Kardashian doubled down on her commitment to the long road ahead, promising “no shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”
