50 Cent is fully tapping into the jokes after Vivica A. Fox brought up their long-past relationship once again — this time in a quick street chat with TMZ.
Fox, who recently told the crowd at the Chicago Ultimate Women’s Expo, “Don’t date 50 Cent and don’t date no damn rappers!,” later clarified her statement on Monday. She explained that the advice came strictly from her own experience and was meant as lighthearted guidance for “the girlies.”
She told TMZ that everyone should date whoever they want, but warned women not to go public too quickly and to “just have fun.” Fox added that it took her years before she could laugh about her fast, intense 2003 relationship with 50, which ended in a breakup and years of back-and-forth shade.
Of course, 50 had to jump in. The rapper and TV mogul fired back on Instagram with two playful posts.
In the first one, he shared a photo of a blue pill with a smiley face on it, writing: “What, I don’t know what happened. See that’s your problem, you think you know everything. LOL @bransoncognac.”
Fans instantly connected the joke to Vivica’s recent comment about “taking the blue pill,” a callback to 50’s earlier Matrix-inspired response.

He doubled down with another joke, posting a video tied to Vivica’s TMZ moment and captioning it: “You ain’t gonna believe this man, but she tried to turn me out I just got on LOL @50centaction.”
The clip featured Vivica strolling down a New York street while TMZ tried to get her thoughts on 50 — a moment he happily used to keep the jokes rolling.

A few days earlier, 50 had already clapped back at Vivica’s original “don’t date 50 Cent” comment with an AI-generated photo of himself as Morpheus from The Matrix, holding a red pill and a blue pill. His caption read: “Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix. You know I love me some you, girl. But damn it’s been 22 years Vivica.”
Vivica brushed off the post with a laugh and said she actually loved how mild his response was. She told TMZ the Matrix-style joke was “fantastic” — and added that she’d “take the blue pill.”
