Max B wants no part of the rumors claiming he was involved in a backstage clash with Ja Rule during Brandy and Monica’s Brooklyn concert on Thursday (Nov. 20).
In a tweet posted Friday (Nov. 21) morning, Max B shut down the talk that he or anyone from his camp got into an incident with Ja Rule at the Barclays Center show, where he appeared as a special guest.
“Don’t tie me or my people to anything negative,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “We grown we on positive vibes only.”

The post arrived shortly after Ja Rule addressed claims made by gossip blogger Tasha K, who alleged he was jumped the night before. “Tasha why you lying to these good ppl,” he wrote in a quote-tweet. “Yes some bitch ass n***as tried to jump me, not it wasn’t at Sei less and I’m chilling smoking a joint watching SVP wit not a scratch on me.”
Ja Rule also made it clear he wasn’t bothered, sharing a video of himself laughing and sipping from a mug.
A clip making the rounds online showed Ja Rule being held back during what looked like an altercation, which many assumed happened backstage at the Monica and Brandy concert in Brooklyn. Tasha K kept insisting her source witnessed the whole thing, but Ja Rule fired back by joking about her getting sued for her posts, noting how Cardi B, Soulja Boy, and others have either threatened or taken legal action against her.
He also posted another video of himself grinning while sipping from a mug. “Believe half of what you see and none of what you read… we good over here!!!” he captioned it.
Max B, aka the Silver Surfer, was one of the special guests at the Barclays Center show and performed his 2008 track “Sexy Love.” The night also featured appearances from Ciara, Tyrese, Fabolous, and Fat Joe.
