“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah has been granted an early release from prison.

Jen Shah is preparing to leave federal custody sooner than originally planned.

Per the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum has been granted a new release date of December 10, marking yet another cut to the sentence she started serving in February 2023.

Shah, 52, has spent the last two years at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas. She began serving her time at the minimum-security facility after pleading guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Prosecutors said she played a role in a nationwide telemarketing operation that targeted thousands of people — many of them elderly.

During her January 2023 sentencing, Shah apologized in court, saying, “I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people,” and noted that she was “doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.” She was ordered to pay $6.5 million.

Her sentence has been reduced multiple times, with the Bureau of Prisons citing good behavior, participation in programs, and initial restitution payments.

A full year was removed in March 2023, followed by more reductions in October 2024, January 2025, and August 2025. Before this most recent update, she was expected to be released on August 30, 2026.

Shah’s manager, Chris Giovanni, told People that the change means Shah will be home with her family for the holidays. “Everyone’s very grateful for the BOP’s decision,” he said, calling it “a gift she doesn’t take for granted.” Giovanni also shared that Shah has been focused on personal growth while incarcerated and is “excited to put this chapter behind her.”

The Bureau of Prisons did not say whether Shah will head straight home or transition to a halfway house, noting that those details aren’t shared for safety and privacy. Under BOP policy, people nearing the end of their federal sentences can finish the remainder under supervised conditions.

Throughout her time behind bars, Shah’s husband — University of Utah football coach Sharrieff “Coach” Shah — has visited regularly. The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary this past August with a photo from one of his visits.

Shah has also remained publicly connected through letters and social media updates managed for her, reflecting on her first year in custody and crediting faith, therapy, and family support for keeping her grounded.
