Selena Gomez’s family is shaken after a terrifying incident in Los Angeles this week, when her mother-in-law, Sandra Beth Levin, became the victim of a late-night break-in at her Studio City home.
Officials who spoke with FOX 11 said Levin—the mother of Grammy-nominated producer Benny Blanco—was inside the house on Monday evening, November 24, when she suddenly heard glass shattering. Startled, she ran to a bathroom, locked the door, and hid inside as intruders made their way through the $3 million property.
Authorities say Levin could hear movement outside the bathroom and at one point cautiously cracked open the door to glance down the hallway. She reportedly saw two masked intruders inside the home, and the moment they realized she was there, they fled.
Police arrived shortly after and discovered a smashed window with broken glass scattered around the entry point. No injuries were reported, and investigators are still working to determine whether anything was stolen. The home belongs to Blanco’s parents, Sandra and Andrew Levin.
The break-in comes during a high-profile period for the family. Blanco—born Benjamin Levin—has stacked up an impressive list of chart-topping production credits and now holds eleven Grammy nominations, including this year’s nod for Best Dance Pop Recording for “Bluest Flame,” his collab with Gomez.
Gomez and Blanco, who tied the knot in September after wedding celebrations in Cabo San Lucas and Las Vegas, hosted their ceremony in Santa Barbara with a star-filled guest list. The couple also stepped out together at the 2025 Academy Museum Gala just weeks before the incident.
Photos from the scene showed officers inspecting the property and performing an armed sweep to secure the home. As of now, police haven’t released descriptions of the suspects or identified a motive.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives comb through evidence and canvas the neighborhood for leads.
