Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis’ trial in the murder of 2Pac has been delayed due to a massive amount of evidence that still needs to be reviewed.
Keefe D has been held at the Clark County Detention Center since his 2023 arrest for allegedly orchestrating the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed Tupac “2Pac” Shakur.
Earlier this year, he insisted he was innocent during an interview with The Art of Dialogue.
“They ain’t got no evidence. They don’t got nothing. They know they don’t have nothing,” he said. “They can’t even place me out here [at the time of the shooting]. They don’t have no gun, no car, no Keefe D, no nothing. Everybody on video but Keefe D. This is wrong, man.”
Reflecting on his past interviews discussing the incident, he added, “I shouldn’t have said nothing. I shouldn’t have said nothing. And I’m innocent, man. And God got my back and God will see me through this.”
In April, Keefe D was convicted of battery by a prisoner and issuing challenges to a fight after getting into a brawl with another Clark County inmate following a personal visit last December.
He reportedly told officers he was standing his ground but offered no further explanation about the altercation.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has chimed in on the 2Pac case, claiming Keefe D “talked himself into jail.”
On Instagram, 50 posted Keefe D’s mugshot alongside a clip from a 2022 The Art of Dialogue interview. “Keefe D talked him self into jail,” he wrote. “Show some love brother Love. LOL DEC2 Netflix you can’t make this shit up. BOOM.”
In the included interview snippet, Keefe D called on Diddy to “show some love” for him.
