Stefon Diggs has kicked off fresh speculation that he and Cardi B might’ve tied the knot in secret, all because of one eyebrow-raising phrase in a recent video.
In a clip shared by the New England Patriots’ Spanish media team, Diggs was gifted a hoodie that read “Español” alongside the team’s logo. Grateful for the merch, he replied in Spanish: “Patriots Español, gracias. Yo quiero uno más…for mi esposa.”
Translation? Diggs asked for “one more” hoodie for his “wife.” Was he being intentional with that wording? Maybe. Or he might’ve just been using the term playfully.
Diggs wrapped up his message with one more request. “Actually, give me two. A mini one,” he added — a nod to the couple’s newborn son, who arrived earlier this month.
The birth of their baby boy was what first ignited talk that the two might be engaged. In the first photos of their son, affectionately nicknamed Baby Brim, fans noticed a massive rock sitting on Cardi’s ring finger.
Even though it definitely looks like an engagement ring, TMZ’s sources confirmed it isn’t.
When Cardi announced her son’s arrival, she shared how ready she was for a fresh start.
“My last chapter was the beginning of a new season,” she wrote. “Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it! I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
Before their baby was born, Diggs told People he couldn’t wait to raise a child with Cardi. “I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around,” he joked.
