The Charlotte rapper was moving through the Spectrum Center during the Hornets’ home game against the Chicago Bulls on Friday when two young fans asked for a picture. “Y’all gotta take the jersey off,” DaBaby told them. “Take it off! Take it off!”
The Bulls fans immediately complied, which definitely pleased the rapper.
Jeremih — a Chicago native and likely a Bulls fan himself — wasn’t impressed with the kids’ choice. He dropped a comment under ESPN’s repost of the clip from TikTok user _marquisrobinson, writing, “What happen Fooley?” DaBaby jumped in with a response.
If DaBaby’s encounter truly flipped their team loyalty, then their new favorite squad — the Hornets — rewarded them with a 123-116 win over the Bulls.
DaBaby’s latest video, “Save Me,” has also opened doors in his hometown. In October, Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden linked up with the rapper to talk about “important issues and potential collaborations.”
