Monica was in full playful mode when she snatched Ray J’s phone during a recent concert, all in response to the comments he made about Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and his sister Brandy.
On Thursday (December 4), Ray J was spotted at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena for Brandy and Monica’s Boy Is Mine tour stop.
“Before we leave here, I am going to take Ray J’s phone,” Monica joked as she walked to the edge of the stage to grab it. “Ray J, give me the phone… give me the phone, Ray.”
After she took it and walked off, she thanked him with a smile. “We love you, Ray J,” she said. “Y’all make some noise for Ray J. He’s not just Brandy’s brother, but he’s my brother, too.”
Brandy chimed in: “I hope you know I’m [gonna] have to hear this all night, ‘Monica is my sister now!’”
The lighthearted moment came shortly after Ray J publicly called out Beyoncé and Hov for allegedly skipping photo ops with Brandy, even though they’ve attended multiple stops on the Boy Is Mine tour and taken pictures with Monica.
“N***as need to pull up when they pull up to the show,” Ray J said. “Come on, say ‘what’s up’ to Brandy. Jay-Z and Beyonce, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B. I don’t like that. … Y’all walk by Brandy’s room and never say what’s up.” In the caption of the clip he shared on Instagram, he admitted he was “crashing out” for his sister.
This all comes on the heels of Ray J’s recent arrest for allegedly pointing a gun at Princess Love, the mother of his children, during a Twitch stream.
He later denied those claims, saying he “would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love.” In a brief chat with TMZ, he added that he “didn’t like” members of his ex’s family “being in [his] private space near his child.”
