Ray J says he never pointed a gun at Princess Love and admits he was actually “afraid” when she came to take his kids.

Ray J says he was actually “afraid” when his ex, Princess Love, and her family showed up at his home to take his kids.

He opened up to TMZ about the Thanksgiving incident, which first surfaced during a livestream where Ray J claimed Princess, her cousin, and the cousin’s husband were trying to take his children and were threatening him. He also accused Princess of being “drunk.”

In the livestream, Ray J grabbed his gun — which appeared briefly on camera — and then confronted Princess and her family. As he argued against them taking Melody Love and Epik Ray, the two children he shares with Princess, she repeatedly told him, “You pointed a gun at us!”

Ray J later told TMZ he “would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love.” He admitted he was holding the gun but insisted he “never planned to shoot anyone.” He said he “didn’t like” Love’s family being “in his private space near his child,” calling them “aggressive and belligerent.”

During the livestream, after Princess accused him of pointing a gun at them and called him a “woman abuser,” telling him to “grow the fuck up,” Ray J exploded. At one point he yelled, “I’ll kill you,” and added, “Get the fuck out of here, you in my house. I’ll shoot the fuck out of you,” while appearing to hide the camera. He told TMZ that Love’s cousin’s husband then “tackled him.”

Ray J said the situation escalated to the point that about 20 officers arrived at his home with guns drawn, which he claims “further traumatized his two children.” He was arrested and booked for making a criminal threat — not for pointing a gun — and later released on $50,000 bail.

Despite everything, Ray J told TMZ he “will always love Princess Love.” Princess later responded, saying Ray J needs to “take accountability” and go to rehab.
