Timothée Chalamet’s ‘Marty Supreme’ pop-up pulled an overwhelming crowd, eventually triggering an LAPD response.

A pop-up shop for Timothée Chalamet’s upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme pulled a huge crowd in Los Angeles on Monday, leading to an LAPD response as fans flooded the entire block for merch.

Clips from the scene showed lines wrapped down the street, with people eager to grab exclusive items tied to the movie, which lands in theaters on December 25.

TMZ reports that LAPD officers showed up around 1:53 p.m. on Monday after receiving calls about a “large gathering.” More units were brought in as they tried to get control of the swelling crowd, but police eventually left without handing out citations or shutting down the event. In videos circulating online, officers were even heard debating whether to label the crowd an unlawful assembly, though that call was never made.

Entry into the pop-up required pre-booked tickets, and TMZ says one manager was caught on camera telling anyone without a ticket to leave the line. Security teams, barricades, and fencing were all put in place to handle the surge of fans, which reportedly began gathering as early as Sunday. The most sought-after items included a Marty Supreme windbreaker, plus zip-up hoodies, polo shirts, and A24-branded soccer jerseys.

Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, features Chalamet as Marty Mauser, starring alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’zion. The movie centers on a rising ping-pong talent and has already sparked major fan excitement ahead of its Christmas Day debut.

The Marty Supreme jacket has been seen on Tom Brady, Kid Cudi, Kylie Jenner, and others. For a closer look at why the merch is blowing up, tap in here.
