Sydney Sweeney is putting the long-running plastic surgery chatter to rest — and she’s not holding back.
In a newly released video interview with Allure, the Euphoria and The Housemaid star confronted the ongoing speculation about her looks, flat-out denying that she’s had any cosmetic procedures.
When asked to shut down a beauty rumor, Sweeney didn’t miss a beat.
“Let’s debunk them all,” she said. “I have never gotten work done.” She also pointed out the obvious reason the claims don’t make sense: “I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”
Sweeney, seated beside her Housemaid co-star Amanda Seyfried, highlighted how online comparisons ignore the simplest realities. Growing up in the public eye, she says people constantly pull up side-by-side photos from completely different eras of her life.
“You cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting,” she explained. “Of course I’m going to look different.” Ending the thought with a laugh, she added, “Everybody on social media’s insane.”
The moment kept a playful tone, with Seyfried joking about cosmetic tweaks later in life. Sweeney cracked up and replied, “I’ll call you,” while making it clear that any future decisions aren’t on her mind right now.
This isn’t the first time Sweeney has addressed plastic surgery speculation. In a past interview, she made the same point, firmly reiterating that she hasn’t had any cosmetic work.
“I’ve never gotten anything done. I’m absolutely terrified of needles,” she said at the time. “No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully.”
She also spoke about the obsession with “comparison photos,” noting how often people use her childhood images to push false claims. “I’m 12 in that photo,” she said. “Of course I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now, and I’m 15 years older.”
Sweeney did reveal that the only surgery she ever seriously considered was a breast reduction as a teen — something she eventually decided against.
