Kelly Osbourne is speaking out after facing backlash over her appearance in a recent Instagram Story.
In July, the TV personality lost her father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, who died at 76 from a heart attack.
In a video posted Wednesday (Dec. 10), Kelly addressed what she described as the “disgusting, horrible, mean, rude comments” she’s received about her body in the months since his passing, according to People.
“I’m just here to say, ‘What do you expect from me? What do you expect me to look like right now?'” she told followers. “The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that.”
She also called out those making “sick comments,” saying they “need to take a strong, hard look” at themselves and accusing them of projecting their own issues.
“For example, you say that I look ill. Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down,” Kelly explained. “I don’t understand how people expect me to bounce back and look like everything is just fine in my life when it’s not.”
Osbourne went on to say that people were unfairly comparing her recent photos to images of her as a teenager.
“People’s faces change when you grow older,” the 41-year-old said.
She then called out the “grown ass women” who she says make up most of her critics — many of whom, she noted, appear to struggle with their own weight.
“And it’s absolutely devastating that women can’t support other women,” Kelly continued. “They’d rather tear them down when their dad just died. It’s disgusting, and I’ve had enough of it. So, go fuck yourself.”
Her message comes a few months after she posted a heartfelt tribute to her father in August, thanking Ozzy Osbourne’s fans for their support.
On July 30, Kelly, along with her brother Jack and her mother, Sharon Osbourne, joined fans in Birmingham, England, for a public procession honoring the late musician.
