The Game is taking back years of explicit comments about Kim Kardashian and says he’s finally ready to apologize after realizing just how out of line he was.
During his sit-down on Club Shay Shay, the Compton rapper told Shannon Sharpe that the graphic lyrics and old interview stories he once shared about Kardashian were never justified.
He admitted he often spoke recklessly for entertainment and ego.
“Sometimes, man, you wake up and choose a little violence,” The Game said. “If I tried to make up an excuse for my behavior, there just is no excuse. It’s the wrong thing to do on the right day.”
He also revealed that Kanye West confronted him years ago, back when Ye and Kardashian were still married.
According to The Game, Ye personally called and asked him to stop mentioning Kardashian publicly.
“He was like, ‘I love you, but can we not ever talk about my wife again?’” The Game recalled. “And I said, ‘You know what? Even though I’m bigger and stronger, you got that right.’ I told him I wasn’t going to do that no more.”
When Sharpe asked whether he’d ever apologized to Kardashian, The Game initially brushed it off, saying he didn’t feel he owed her one since rumors were already out there. But his tone soon shifted.
“I got a lot of love for Chris, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney,” he said, remembering their early 2000s days coming up together in L.A. “We were always chilling. But yeah, I’ll apologize to Kim today.”
He then looked straight into the camera: “Kim, I’m apologetic for the way that I displayed or discussed our interrelations with the public.”
The apology touches on a long, messy history of rumors linking The Game and Kim Kardashian. For years, he’s hinted at some sort of past with the influencer, though she has never confirmed anything.
Back in 2016, he made vague comments during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. Then, in 2019, he previewed an unreleased track where he rapped explicitly about alleged sexual encounters with Kardashian and even referenced Ye by name, sparking instant backlash. “I held Kim Kardashian by the throat, n***a. I made her swallow my kids until she choked, n***a,” he reportedly rapped at the time. “I should apologize cause Ye my folks, n***a.”
Today, The Game says age and perspective have shifted the way he looks back on those moments. So far, neither Kardashian nor Ye has responded to his apology.
