The Game Says He’d Consider Dating a Friend’s Ex — As Long As They Weren’t Married and Didn’t Have Kids Together

The Game is stirring up conversation online again—this time about loyalty, relationships, and how far friendship boundaries really go.

During a visit to Club Shay Shay, the Compton rapper told host Shannon Sharpe that he doesn’t think dating a friend’s ex is automatically off-limits, as long as key lines aren’t crossed. The moment came as Sharpe questioned him about friendship rules and dating ethics.

“I think I’m cool with that,” Game said around the two-hour mark. “Love is a mysterious fruit; the person that’s dating your homie might be your soulmate, and if he didn’t marry or have children with her, then she moves back into the single market.”

Game went on to clarify that, for him, the seriousness of the previous relationship is what matters. If there was no marriage or kids, he feels the situation falls into a different category.

Later in his Club Shay Shay conversation, The Game also apologized to Kim Kardashian for past remarks — particularly the sexually explicit lyrics in an unreleased 2019 song.

“Sometimes, man, you wake up and choose a little violence,” he said. “If I tried to make up an excuse for my behavior, there just is no excuse. It’s the wrong thing to do on the right day.”

He added that Ye personally called him and asked him to stop bringing up Kardashian in public.

“He was like, ‘I love you, but can we not ever talk about my wife again?’” Game recalled. “And I said, ‘You know what? Even though I’m bigger and stronger, you got that right.’ I told him I wasn’t going to do that no more.”

When Sharpe asked if he had ever apologized to Kardashian directly, Game initially brushed it off, saying she wasn’t owed one since the rumors were already out there. But moments later, he shifted his tone.

“I got a lot of love for Chris, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney,” he said. “We were always chilling. But yeah, I’ll apologize to Kim today.”

“Kim, I’m apologetic for the way that I displayed or discussed our interrelations with the public,” The Game said, turning to the camera.
