SZA Cheers Andrew Tate and Jake Paul’s Boxing Defeats: “Merry Christmas Everyone”

SZA made it clear that the results of two recent boxing bouts put her in a festive mood this holiday season.

On Monday (December 22), the TDE singer jumped into the comments under an Instagram post from Irish strongman Pa O’Dwyer. The post pointed out Andrew Tate’s loss to Chase DeMoor and also mentioned Jake Paul’s widely talked-about defeat to Anthony Joshua.

“Wow Tate and Jake Paul bodied in one week? Merry Christmas everyone,” SZA wrote.

Tate’s bout with DeMoor ended in a majority decision at the Misfits Mania event on December 19. The polarizing figure, who has a background in mixed martial arts, later tried to break down the loss during a livestream.

“I’ve not yet had time to process why he beat me. I got tired after the second round, and I don’t know why,” he said. “[In] the first and second round, he couldn’t touch me. If I didn’t get tired, I would’ve won. I’m a better boxer. But I did get tired. Maybe it’s ring rust, maybe I’m too old. Maybe he’s too heavy and he kept leaning on me. I don’t know why. But he did beat me.”

Meanwhile, Jake Paul offered a more lighthearted breakdown of his own defeat while speaking on the IMPAULSIVE podcast.

“I mean, it’s not that hard to get your ass beat,” Paul joked. “Actually, I won two rounds, then he won two, then I got dropped. But yeah, I was doing good. I just think my cardio, the mental pressure of the big guy, and sparring the big people, is different than the 10-ounce gloves. So I was feeling his power more. But it was great experience. I learned a lot in there.”
