Diddy’s second-oldest biological son, Christian Combs, reportedly spent some one-on-one time with his father on Christmas Day.
According to People, the 27-year-old—also known as King Combs—visited the New Jersey facility Fort Dix, where Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act.
Juda Engelmayer, a representative for the Bad Boy Entertainment founder, told the outlet that father and son “talked and caught up on life with each other.” Diddy shares Christian with his late partner, Kim Porter, and has six other biological children.
“They talked about dealing with the hard times now and reflecting on the past and learning from it and how to do better in the future,” Engelmayer said of the 90-minute visit.
“It meant a great deal [to Diddy], particularly on Christmas, to have family close,” the rep added.
Back in July, the music mogul was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a nearly eight-week trial that also included sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Ahead of his sentencing, Diddy’s children submitted letters of support to New York Judge Arun Subramanian. Christian was among them, describing his father as “the best father in the world.”
“He has never taught me anything but to treat people with the most respect possible and to never be entitled and to always work for what I want and to treat people with love and kindness,” the “Lonely Roads” artist wrote.
Diddy’s legal team is now pushing for an early release. This week, his attorneys asked for the conviction to be overturned, arguing that Judge Subramanian acted like a “13th juror” in his ruling.
Lead appeal attorney Alexandra Shapiro also criticized the judge’s decision as a “draconian ruling,” claiming he factored in more serious charges—despite Diddy being acquitted of them.
