Boosie Badazz Appeals to Elon Musk for Help Finding a Diabetes Cure

Boosie Badazz is hoping Elon Musk can help him beat diabetes.

The rapper reached out on Musk’s platform, X, directly addressing the billionaire about a possible cure. “Just saw this video where Elon Musk is saying something about curing diabetes in 17 hours,” Boosie wrote in all caps.

“Elon, please get someone to contact my assistant so we can get more information on this,” he added. “I really want to get this sickness out my body in 2026.”

While it can’t be confirmed, it appears Boosie may have fallen for AI-generated deepfakes featuring Elon Musk claiming he had discovered a cure for diabetes. Back in March, Engadget highlighted a rise in these fake videos, noting that several Facebook pages were pushing deepfake ads promoting questionable supplements.

Musk isn’t the only high-profile figure being used in these misleading clips. Other familiar faces tied to similar fake ads include Oprah Winfrey, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and former Utah Senator Mitt Romney.

Engadget also spoke with Snopes reporter Jordan Liles about what these videos are really designed to do. “There are a lot of different ‘blood sugar support,’ type 2 diabetes, reverse diabetes, sort of scams out there these days,” Liles explained. “It’s the same sort of process you might see with other scams in that they start with an ad, they go to a long video on a website, and then they want you to order the product. And they want you to believe everything that you just saw is real.”

Despite the claims floating around online, Musk does not have a cure for diabetes. He previously revealed in 2022 that he used the diabetes medication Wegovy as part of his diet plan.
