50 Cent has dropped a vague message that fans are reading as a subtle warning aimed at Fabolous, Jim Jones, Maino, and Dave East.
On Saturday (December 27), the G-Unit boss took to Instagram with what appeared to be a calm, goal-focused New Year message — though it carried a clear undertone.
“Let’s toast to success, health, and prosperity,” Fif wrote. “I’m planning my new year. When I’m done, I’ll come out to play. You know everyone who plays with me wishes they didn’t in the end.”
The post featured a photoshopped image of 50 recreating Leonardo DiCaprio’s iconic The Great Gatsby toast, raising a glass in celebration — a visual often linked to calm confidence with an underlying edge.
Although 50 didn’t call out anyone directly and the message could easily be taken as a broad New Year reflection, fans were quick to tie it to a recent freestyle from Fabolous, Jim Jones, Maino, and Dave East.
Just days before Fif’s post, hosts of the Let’s Rap About It podcast dropped a freestyle that appeared to take shots at the “In Da Club” rapper. The track was performed over one of 50’s beats, mentioned him repeatedly throughout the verses, and was titled “Squatter’s Rights” — a pointed reference to the “squatter” claims 50 has previously thrown at the group online.
The group’s choice to rap over 50’s instrumentals and call him out by name reignited a long-standing back-and-forth that has mostly unfolded online rather than through official music releases.
In earlier remarks, Maino brushed off the tension, framing the public exchanges as mutually beneficial and good for exposure. Others in the group, especially Jim Jones, have had an on-and-off history with 50 over the years, with tensions flaring up and fading without any real closure.
For now, it’s unclear whether 50 Cent will address the situation head-on or simply let it slide. Still, longtime fans know that when it comes to 50, silence doesn’t always signal the end of a feud.
