Benzino’s former partner, Althea Heart, has accused the rapper and former Source co-owner of being involved in a bisexual relationship with Bobby V.
On Saturday (December 27), Heart took to Instagram to lay out her claims, sharing what she described as text messages between herself and Benzino that she says back up the allegation.
In screenshots of an alleged message exchange believed to be with Benzino, Heart wrote to him: “You was actually fucking Bobby v.! Please. I tried to love you. And I have my last to provide as a mother so you feel good about me losing My homes.”
After the other person in the exchange — believed to be Benzino — appeared to brush past the accusation, Heart followed up with another message, writing: “So you’re admitting your bi sexuality omg.”
As of publication, Benzino has not publicly responded to Althea Heart’s claims, though this isn’t the first time he’s faced questions about his sexuality.
Back in April 2022, transgender model Shauna Brooks alleged that she rejected Benzino’s sexual advances. She claimed they initially formed a friendship, but that he later wanted to take things further.
“Okay so one night, he calls me at two in the morning, and sloppy seconds again, he has a stripper over there,” Shauna said during an appearance on Jazzy McBee’s show on Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5. “He’s showing the stripper my pictures. He’s like, ‘I want you to come, you know that’s one of my fantasies.’ I said, ‘Why would you do that? Why would you show my pictures?’ I don’t understand why he’s showing me around to other people in your bed on your pillow time talk.”
Benzino later pushed back on those claims in a statement to XXL. “It’s obvious this animal is doing anything to stay relevant and for clout. First he said I was trying to hide the fact that we were intimate and in a relationship, and now he said we never were intimate and only spoke on the phone. Also I want people with common sense to recognize that he tagged Mona Scott begging to be on Love and Hip Hop.”
That same year, Benzino also addressed gay rumors tied to a video showing him being escorted out of a Red Roof Inn. Speaking with VladTV, he explained that he was simply sharing a room with a friend due to financial difficulties.
Meanwhile, Bobby V has dealt with his own set of allegations over the years. In 2017, a transgender woman, Reima Houston, accused the singer of contacting her through Backpage, hiring her, and then refusing to pay.
Bobby V later claimed he was being extorted and said he was unaware the woman was transgender. He would eventually file an extortion lawsuit against her.
Not long after, Shauna Brooks also released screenshots suggesting she had been in contact with Bobby V.
As of press time, Bobby V has not publicly responded to Althea Heart’s allegations.
