D4vd Allegedly Set to Be Charged With Murder in Connection to Celeste Rivas’ Death

D4vd is reportedly facing a possible murder indictment connected to the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were found inside a Tesla registered in his name.

According to TMZ, multiple sources claim investigators believe D4vd — born David Anthony Burke — may have been involved in Rivas’ death. A grand jury was convened last month to examine the case, primarily to gather evidence, issue subpoenas, and compel witness testimony.

Several witnesses have already appeared before the jury, which will ultimately decide whether to move forward with indictments. Sources say prosecutor Beth Silverman is among those who believe D4vd played a role in the teen’s death.

That said, an indictment is not expected immediately. Sources note it could take several months before the grand jury completes witness testimony. While D4vd was initially not considered a suspect, authorities officially named him one last month as the investigation progressed.

The Los Angeles Police Department opened an investigation into Rivas’ death in September after her remains were discovered in an impounded Tesla registered under D4vd’s legal name.

Additional details revealed that Rivas, who had been reported missing by her parents last year, had a finger tattoo reading “Shhh.” D4vd is said to have a similar tattoo matching one found on the remains.

The investigation began while D4vd was on tour supporting his debut studio album, Withered. Remaining tour dates were later canceled, and a blood-stained white T-shirt design was pulled from his official merchandise store. As the case unfolded, detectives searched his rental home for signs of blood, and photos circulated online showing D4vd near Rivas’ family residence.

Earlier this month, Robert Morgenroth — president of D4vd’s touring company and general manager of his record label — testified before the grand jury. According to reports, Morgenroth said Silverman was “very pushy on why I didn’t call police.” Private investigator Steve Fischer also claimed a “burn cage” incinerator was discovered at D4vd’s Hollywood Hills rental property.
